Star anise was not chosen simply as another flavour.

On Lesvos, the connection has a story.

The island is renowned both for its centuries-old olive-growing tradition and for its famous ouzo production. Inspired by these two elements of the island's gastronomic identity, Protoulis created an olive oil that brings them together in a single bottle.

Olive oil meets the signature aroma of ouzo.

No ouzo is added to the oil. Instead, the characteristic star anise aroma associated with the drink becomes the inspiration.
